Understanding Financial Literacy in Financial Inclusion
In the quest for financial liberty, we need to understand the basics of money. It not only shapes our thinking of money, but also gives us another angle to approach financial knowledge. We expound more on the science of money, its importance and why consolidation is important in wealth creation and management.
Whereas pooling funds is the first step in financial liberty, what to do with it is an important feature. Our program looks into several ways a Chama can invest collectively, and grow its returns on investments, besides lending. However, we do not invest on behalf 0f Chamas; we only help them with the process. Our Relationship officers are on standby to help you navigate financial literacy.

Legal and Compliance
Since it is a legal tender, we also show Chamas ways to stay out of trouble. If registered, the honours are on them to ensure compliance to all the Finance Acts are adhered to. More importantly, factoring in taxation from their contributions and how not to touch the principle in wealth creation.
If the Chama is unregistered, we teach them how to manage their income outside the tax bracket, and how our services can improve their resource base. Taxation is a complex undertaking, and Chamas need to understand its legality and obligations to avoid falling into distress. Call on our relationship officers for this and more.
Although we do not offer Investment services, we have classes where we teach our members on what to invest in, when, how and the expected results. Our examples are time bound, economically correct and fiscally sound. If you need further analysis, talk to our relationship manager for guidance.
For Chamas, this is the next step since funds pooling is a continuous process. After 2-3 years of continuous contribution, the kitty is large enough to service its members and invest the surplus in an income generating activity. Our services can help the Chama identify possible investment opportunities, and guide them in making the venture worthwhile.
